Meet Rose Berline Bathelemy:
Rose Berline Bathelemy, A News Anchor, Entrepreneur, & Physician.
Rose Berline Bathelemy operates in two demanding fields, showing perseverance and passion in areas often seen as opposites: journalism and medicine. This young woman, who has managed to balance both callings.
In January 2020, while pursuing medical studies, Rose Berline saw an unexpected opportunity appear in the form of a notice in a student group: Radio Capital was recruiting seven journalists. This casually shared message sparked something in her. She applied, was accepted, and her journey into journalism began. However, this was only the beginning. After three months at Radio Capital, she decided to leave that first experience to join Model FM. Three years of intensive learning followed, during which she gained confidence and expertise. Then, in January 2023, came another turning point: the opportunity to join Radio Télé Métropole, a major name in Haitian journalism. Roseberline saw this as confirmation of her path—sometimes difficult, but always guided by her passion for information.
For her, Radio Télé Métropole has always been a benchmark in journalism. She accepted the invitation to join the station in August 2023 with great joy and gratitude. She describes it as “one of the standards of excellence” and a symbol of journalism at its noblest.
According to Roseberline, an excellent presenter must embody several key qualities: passion, impartiality, insight, and perseverance. Staying calm under pressure and being authentic are also essential. Eloquence and elegance help connect with and engage the audience. One of the highlights of her career was being chosen to present MetroNews on Radio Télé Métropole. This role allows her to grow and refine her style, which she describes as a blend of institutional professionalism, lively storytelling, and sharp analysis.
Choosing between medicine and journalism would have been impossible for her. Instead of giving up one, she chose to pursue both. She believes these fields share the same purpose: to serve, inform, and positively impact society. She sometimes alternates between hospital shifts and television presentations—a physical and mental challenge she manages through passion and careful organization. Support from colleagues and loved ones, as well as her faith, plays a crucial role.
As a future doctor, she dreams of contributing to a more just and humane healthcare system. For her, being a doctor is not only about treating patients but also about prevention, education, and advocating for equity. She is also passionate about women’s empowerment and universal access to healthcare.
She is aware of her influence on young people, especially young women, encouraging them to believe in their dreams, work hard, and never give up. She sees pressure as something positive when managed well. Instead of being overwhelmed by stress, she focuses on the present and what she can control.
Her Christian values—love, humility, integrity, patience, and empathy—guide her daily life, both professionally and personally.Through her journey, Roseberline Bathelemy shows that it is possible to pursue multiple passions without limiting oneself to a single path. Her story is one of determination, perseverance, and belief in dreams.
These Young Haitian Women Leaders were born in the 2000 era. This Gen Z is often judged, criticized, sometimes even condemned as lost, empty or disoriented. However, a deeper analysis requires another reading: no generation is born in a void. She is still the product of its predecessor. Moral decay, political drift, sociopolitical collapse, & economic regression for the last 40 years don’t start with this generation. They are a legacy with an already fragile system in which they grew up. In an environment where public administration mismanagement is trivial, politics is being played out by lack of accountability and character, and emptiness goes viral for many materialistic reasons.
These observed behaviors are not anomalies, but they are forms of adaptation to a unbalanced and non-rule based system. And yet, even in this context, everything is not lost, despite the darkness. Because history shows that a transformation never begins with the majority, but often with a conscious minority. Like a candle in the night; a light even weak, can guide us through this tunnel. Haiti’s light is so weak, yet there is hope with young leaders like Ariana who pour out their hearts, minds, & souls to show hashtag#Haiti will rise again.
From now on, the real question is no longer why this generation seems to be in crisis, but rather what model of society we choose to pass on to the next one. This is why Haiti Executive Board is advocating for Haiti Vision 2050 to build a country on principles of growth and economic prosperity, civic leadership and corporate governance, and institutional values and organizational change.Because a generation does not correct itself by criticism, but they are guided and led by examples & tangible evidence of heroes and living legends.
Haiti Executive Board will continue to spotlight the young & senior executives and leaders who are doing extraordinary work in our community and highlights only positive narratives and storytelling about Haiti and its people. These young women Haitian leaders inspire their generations and cultivate intellectual capabilities to create new opportunities for themselves and others. They reinforce the notion of using their skills, talent, and gifts to create and empower others while building their own empire of influence, cultivating their intelligence through excellence, and molding their charcater to lead with purpose, impact ,and civic leadership in national and international affairs.
In conclusion, through Haitian excellence and leadership, these Top 10 Young Haitian Women Leaders can be the start of a new paradigm shift equity, opportunity, and access. It is time to start challenging the societal norms, breaking glass ceilings, and opening new gateways to discover the true ingenuity of Haitian people specially women. Celebrating these Top 10 Young Haitian Women Leaders is clearly a new steppingtone for collective and civic leadership to drive economic transfromation in Haiti.
Let’s (re)build Haiti with both Haitian men and women leaders in next 25 years on civic economy with Haiti Vision 2050 .
